American CPR Care Association Scholarship Program Terms and Conditions

  1. Overview:

    American CPR Care Association (‘ACCA’) has partnered with universities in the United States to offer scholarships to up to 10 students of $500 each based on the terms and conditions stipulated herein. (‘Scholarship’)

    This Scholarship is intended for residents in the United States and shall be construed and evaluated according to the laws of the United States.

  2. Eligibility:
    1. The Scholarship program is open to full-time undergraduate students or graduate students (‘Applicants’) at the participating University.
    2. Applicants must meet the specified eligibility criteria outlined in these terms and conditions.
    3. The Applicants for the Scholarship must warrant that they are 18 years of age at the time of application for the Scholarship.
  3. Application Process:
    1. Applicants must submit their applications by the specified deadline through the online application web page provided by ACCA.
    2. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. ACCA reserves the right to reject an application for any reason we deem fit and at any time. Scholarship rules, dates, deadlines, award amounts and guidelines are subject to updates and/or modifications at any time and for any reason.
  4. Video Submission Rules and Topics:
    1. To apply, complete the online application. Registration is free. Each applicant may enter the scholarship once during each registration time frame. Upon completion of application, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant. All further communication with the Applicant will continue on this email trail. The Applicant shall create a video no more than 3 minutes in length.
    2. The Applicant represents that: (i) the entry is Applicant’s own original work; and (ii) Applicant owns or has the rights to convey any and all right and title in any material submitted as part of this program.
    3. The purpose of this video would be to raise awareness in young people on any one of the below topics:
      1. How to cure Obesity
      2. How to handle Heart Stroke
      3. How to deal with Anxiety and Depression
    4. The Applicant shall submit the video to ACCA for screening via google drive access only, on the same registration email trail.
    5. Upon receiving the approval email, the Applicant share the video on the Applicant’s Facebook account.
    6. The Applicant shall tag the following #ACCAScholarship and Tag @americancprcareassociation while uploading the video
    7. Eligible video submissions subject to clause 5 below with the most (likes & shares) will be selected as the winner.
    8. Once the contest ends on a specified date, the Applicant must share a screenshot of the likes and shares, on the same registration email trail.
    9. Based on the final screenshot, ACCA will announce the results on a specified date.
  5. Selection Process:
    1. 10 videos with the highest likes, and shares will be declared the winners.
  6. Award Notification:
    1. Successful Applicants will be notified via email about the result announcement.
    2. Scholarship recipients must confirm their acceptance by email within 7 working days of receiving the notification.
  7. University Deadlines:
    1. Universities must comply with the dates of the scholarship contest provided by ACCA.
    2. The dates may change based on the number of participating universities and Applicants.
  8. Scholarship Amount and Distribution:
    1. The combined scholarship amount is $5000. Each winning applicant will be awarded $500.
    2. The scholarship will be distributed to the Applicant via the university or the community college. The Scholarship amount is not transferable or substitutable.
    3. Scholarship recipients must confirm their receipt within 7 working days of receiving the notification.
  9. Usage of Funds:

    The scholarship funds can be used for educational expenses, including tuition, fees, books, and other academic-related costs.

  10. Publicity and Marketing:

    By accepting the scholarship, recipients grant ACCA the right to use their name, image, and any submitted materials for promotional and marketing purposes.

  11. Collaboration with Universities:
    1. Participating universities agree to collaborate with the ACCA to promote and facilitate the scholarship program as outlined in the partnership agreement.
    2. University or a community college agrees to act as intermediate to resolve any violation of rules and regulation by the Applicants.
  12. Termination or Modification:

    American CPR Care Association reserves the right to terminate or modify the scholarship program at any time, with or without notice.

  13. Confidentiality:

    All information submitted by applicants will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and used solely for the purpose of the scholarship program.

  14. Governing Law:

    These terms and conditions and the entire Scholarship program are governed by U.S. law and are subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas without regard to its rules on conflicts of law.

  15. Limitation of Liability:

    The Applicant agrees to release ACCA and its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, directors, officers, and agents from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, possession, use, or misuse of any prize. ACCA is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected email or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. If for any reason, the Scholarship is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort; ACCA may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Scholarship. Applicants further agree to release ACCA from any liability resulting from or related to participation in this Scholarship program.

Annexure- 1: Rules and Regulations of Video Creation

Dos of Video Content:

  • Ensure your video is directly related to the healthcare topic outlined for the scholarship contest.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information to enhance educational value.
  • Clearly articulate your thoughts and ideas.
  • Keep your video within the specified duration (up to 3 minutes) to maintain viewer engagement.
  • Dress appropriately and maintain a professional demeanor throughout your video.
  • Use clear audio and video quality for better viewer experience.
  • Reference credible sources to support your healthcare-related content.
  • Include citations or acknowledgments for any statistics or data used.
  • Infuse creativity into your presentation to make it memorable.
  • Utilize visuals, graphics, or demonstrations to enhance engagement.

Don'ts of Video Content:

  • Use profanity, offensive language, or inappropriate visuals.
  • Include any content that may be considered disrespectful or discriminatory.
  • Spread false or misleading information.
  • Provide medical advice without proper credentials. Stick to presenting information, not offering diagnoses or treatments.
  • Any incorrect or abusive use of ACCA’s brand assets would lead to elimination and also legal action.
  • Include music, images, or videos that you do not have the rights to use.
  • Discuss sensitive topics that may be divisive or controversial.
  • Use the video as a platform for personal opinions unrelated to the healthcare topic.
  • Create videos that exceed the specified time limit.
  • Include irrelevant information that deviates from the main healthcare topic.
  • Neglect to make your content engaging.
  • Underestimate the importance of clear communication and viewer connection.
